Specialist Testing
ADHD Assessment
ADHD assessment is the process of evaluating an individual for ADHD. The assessment can be beneficial in many ways, including (but not limited to) diagnosis, treatment planning, providing advice on specific strategies related to parenting children with ADHD and support for school personnel.
Children with ADHD can be susceptible to having lower self esteem, resulting in an unpleasant schooling experience. Often, parents of children with ADHD also feel the impact of their child’s disability.
This assessment can help form a foundation to assist parents in helping their children succeed at home and school.

Autism Testing
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a behaviorally defined neurodevelopmental disorder. Symptoms of ASD usually appear during early childhood and typically involve impaired social interaction, language and restricted and repetitive behaviour patterns.
Parents of children with ASD often have a hard time understanding their child’s behaviour. They also might not know how to respond to these behaviours and they might feel frustrated at the lack of services available. An ASD assessment can help families understand what they’re dealing with, teach them appropriate parenting methods and direct them toward appropriate services for their child.
Cognitive Testing
Cognitive testing evaluates a person’s cognitive abilities, including attention, memory, problem-solving and processing speed. The purpose of this testing is to assess the individual’s cognitive skills, identify potential learning delays and provide a comprehensive report for use across various settings.
A thorough cognitive evaluation can provide an accurate snapshot of your child or adolescent’s intellectual abilities and potential academic strengths or weaknesses. Our assessment will give parents information about their children’s educational needs.

Trauma Assessment
Trauma can be a serious event for adults and children alike. Trauma is often linked with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which can be assessed by a psychologist.
The purpose of the PTSD assessment is to enable participants to make sense of what has happened to them and the impact it has had on their lives. It’s a means of understanding how their experiences have affected them emotionally, psychologically and in other areas of their life so they can take practical steps towards living a happier and more fulfilled life.
The trauma assessment process aims to provide an opportunity for participants who have experienced severe events in childhood or adulthood to talk about their experiences with the guidance of a professional. It also enables them to improve their functioning, whether at work, in relationships or at home.
